The Supreme Court Certified Divorce Mediator will and will not act as an attorney, but as a neutral mediator. Both the husband and wife are present for each session. Complete financial disclosure is provided by each party and exchanged either prior to mediation or at mediation.
All issues are discussed until an agreement is reached. At that point, the mediator draws up all of the necessary divorce documents. When the parties leave the mediator’s office, they will have in their hands all documents necessary to go to the clerk’s office and file their divorce. These are documents that are prepared by an attorney who has practiced family law for over 40 years.
The case is then completed by the judge and the parties are divorced. If the husband and wife are willing to resolve their marital problems, with the help of a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator the time and money that each spouse will save is enormous. They can be divorced without fighting, stress, war or enormous attorney’s fees.
